Pilosocerus, also known as ‘Tree Cactus’ is commonly cultivated as domestic cactus in tropical areas due to their aesthetic beauty. Pilosocerus, ‘Tree Cactus’, are mostly tree-like, and their flowers are shaped like tubes and grow fleshy fruits. Their name derives from the Latin term for “harry cereus”, thanks in part to their spiny aureoles, many of which have a golden tint.

Care
Place your Pilosocerus, ‘Tree Cactus’ in a bright lit areas with lots of direct sunlight. The Cactus should be planted in a well draining soil with soil mixture that is dry (like a combination of perlite, sand and limestone) with some organic matter mixed in. Weekly watering should be sufficient enough. They need a solid supply of water during the summer, but make sure not to overwater them.
